그리스도의 속죄는 무엇입니까?
대리의 뜻은 "누군가를 대신해서" 속죄의 뜻은 "우호 관계를 복원하다; 동의; 화합" 입니다. 저는 속죄의 뜻이 "하나에서 " 라는 문장에서 나온다는걸 배웠습니다. 근데 왜 처음부터 이 복원이 필요한가요 ? 하나님에게 죄를 지었기 때문입니다. 그리고 하나님에게 죄를 지은것은 심각한 문제입니다 우리의 행동 때문이 아니라, 하지만 우리가 누구에게 우리 죄를 지위했는지가 문제입니다. 하나님은 완벽하십니다, 그리고 이보다 못하다는 것은 터무니없는 모욕입니다.
이것을 작은 규모로 생각해보세요. Think about this on a small scale. Imagine the most beautiful person you know. Now take away their nose. Small change, big problem, right? Our tiny sins would mar the holiness of God in the same way if he allowed it, but he doesn't and so must put that away from him. And God makes it clear that the penalty for sin is death. What's the solution for this? Well, if it were up to us, we wouldn't have a solution. But God did say that there was one way he would make atonement: a sacrifice. A substitute to take his wrath against sin.
There were requirements for this sacrifice. Whoever makes atonement would need to be human because he would need to be able to die. Also, whoever makes atonement would need to be perfect. If he had sins of his own to pay for, he would not be able to pay for ours as well. If he were to die for sin, his perfection would allow him to place the benefit of his sacrifice on someone else.
This substitute would need to volunteer. Christ took our place of his own will. The Father sent him as our substitute to live the Law which impossible for humans by design. When he lived succeeded, he would cover us in his righteousness.
Matthew 20:26-28 "....But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
1 Timothy 2:5-7 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
Last, the Father had to be willing to take the substitute. God didn't have to send Christ. He would have been just in sending us all to hell, but instead he pours out his wrath on Christ. But doesn't it show us something about God, that he was willing to forgive anyone if only one man could obey the law? If had not accepted Christ's righteousness, no one would have access to salvation.
Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned — every one — to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Romans 8:31-32 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
For those who are saved, this truth is a great encouragement. Christ already made the ultimate sacrifice for you. Why would he deny you something of lesser value?
Why Would God do This?
What could motivate God to spare us from judgment? What could motivate him to send his own son to earth? His own glory. God wants to create a kingdom that will praise and glorify him for his greatness. To deliver his image from the damage done by Satan, the Father and Son love us, in spite of our sin and destruction.
Does this mean that salvation is ultimately about God? Yes. Does God love you? Yes. But if God were to place higher value on humanity than on himself, he would be committing idolatry. We can never make the mistake of thinking that God saved us because we were so valuable or because we were "worth it." His glory was worth it. I would argue that since we were not worthy of salvation, it's even more amazing when we are saved.
Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
How Far Does it Go?
We are free from the debt of sin. Christ's sacrifice canceled out the debt of sin that we could not pay. This is what allows God to look at us and see Christ, instead of our sin. He can allow you in his presence because he punished your sin at Christ's crucifixion. But even more than that, he gave us the riches of Christ's righteousness. He lived not only so that God could forgive us, but so that we could live too.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
John 17:19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.
Salvation did not just spare us from hell and allow us to spend eternity in heaven. Salvation empowers us to live righteously right now. You becoming more like Christ isn't something that will happen someday. It is happening - if you are saved - right now. And that's possible because God died in your place on the cross out of love for his father.
And that is why I believe in the vicarious atonement through Christ's death on the cross.
